FINALLY!

I received a text from Heather’s father, Raymond, around 6:13pm PST on July 10th sharing a picture of himself and Heather on an airplane! She was discharged from the hospital in Honolulu and is heading to Kona to do some healing.

She will return to Honolulu for radiation (gamma knife) and more chemo, but for now she can get some much needed rest away from the bustle of the hospital.

The hope is that they will fly home to Oregon later this summer, kitties in tow. But right now, it is still day by day. The discharge and serene landing spot in Kona is a big victory.

The support they’ve received has been incredible. They will still need our help for months to come as Heather continues treatment. Links for contributions are on the “Support” page.

Thank you to everyone!
